Mark Hulbert - US Real GDP Peaks 2008-2009

...The United States economy is today back to where it stood at its peak prior to the Great Recession of 2008-2009... Therein lies a tale, which Fosback finds very significant when assessing the stock market’s potential. The lack of attention to the magnitude of the recovery has been caused, in his opinion, by “the extraordinary pessimism enveloping the consumer investing population, fanned by a fear-mongering financial media.” That skepticism, in turn, has played a big role in holding the stock market back from even bigger gains in recent months.  http://www.marketwatch.com/story/real-gdp-now-at-pre-recession-levels-2010-12-24

Comments : Happy Merry Christmas and Happy New Year, 2011. US Fundamental is getting stronger as we move to year 2011. Watch Copper market trend consolidation and TOP at 450 or higher and Shanghai Composite Index, SSE rides beyond 3000 again!

Best Time to Buy Stocks

The woman who predicted the 1987 stock market crash says now is the best time to buy stocks that she has seen in decades...

"In Japan, after they implemented QE1 [quantitative easing], and they did it with aggression, the stock market [Nikkei] went up 50 percent. The second time they did it with aggression, like we're [U.S.] doing it, the stock market went up 80 percent. When they stopped QE, the stock market went down 50 percent," she said.

"QE does help the stock market, doesn't always help the economy," she said... http://www.cnbc.com/id/40782095

Comments : Fundamental Positive Sign for stock market

China November CPI 5.1%

Consumer prices rose 5.1 percent from a year earlier, driven by food costs, a statistics bureau report showed in Beijing today. That was more than the 4.7 percent median forecast in a Bloomberg News survey of 29 economists. In October, inflation was 4.4 percent...  Inflation may have peaked in November and will probably soften this month as “price intervention” takes effect and the impact of earlier price increases washes out of year-on-year comparisons, Wang Qing, a Hong Kong-based economist at Morgan Stanley, said in Dec. 6 note.  http://www.bloomberg.com/news/2010-12-11/china-s-inflation-tops-5-adding-pressure-for-wen-to-raise-interest-rates.html

Comments : STI down on worry of further China's interest rate tightening... SPX near Top 1250 after 2 attempts to cross 1235! Third attempt soon before consolidation or "very short" consolidation and continue rising to year end 1300 Top! SSE will be a signal to tilt the markets down sharply or push higher to year end (more likely from above fundamental facts - awaiting China to release mass market housing programs)... Bear big traders won big in 2009, But Bull big traders won this year todate...
